2022 Teacher Landscape Report

CSTA teamed up with the Kapor Center and AIICE to create a full report and interactive dashboard based on a nationwide survey of CS teachers. The report focuses on teacher perceptions of moving towards a vision of equitable computer science.

Faythe Brannon

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our President, Faythe Brannon. Faythe was a focused and compassionate advocate for students, teachers, and Computer Science. She had a meaningful impact on both the local and national levels and her presence will be missed by many.

Faythe's family has confirmed the details for the celebration of her life:

Where: South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Dr. Chicago, IL 60649.

When: Saturday, October 7. 12:30pm doors open for visitation, 1:15pm program begins.

Who: family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers.

Faythe Brannon works at the Office of Computer Science at Chicago Public Schools as a High School Curriculum Specialist. She taught CS at Harlan Community Academy before this role. She is also the Treasurer for the CSTA Chicago Chapter.
