We’re excited to launch the 2021 chapter elections!
CSTA Chicago is collecting nominations for the following board positions for the 2021-22 academic year (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022):
- CSTA Chicago Chapter President
- CSTA Chicago Vice President
- CSTA Chicago Treasurer
- CSTA Chicago Secretary
Only self-nominations will be considered.
Nominations are due by midnight CT, Friday, May 21, 2021.
Please review the Chapter Board of Directors Job Descriptions for more details on the expectations of the leadership positions.
Please email your self-nomination to include name, school/position, grades taught, position self-nominating for, and a brief description (no more than 200 words) of qualifications/desire for role that members will see when voting to Chapters@csteachers.org.
Please note the elected board members will need to attend the Virtual Chapter Leadership Summit July 8-9 to plan for the upcoming year, and receive a $99 discount to attend the annual conference July 14-16.
Elections will be open electronically beginning Monday, May 24, 2021, through midnight CT, Friday, Jun 4, 2021. The election will use the same ranked choice voting system used for the CSTA national board elections. All chapter members in good standing will receive a ballot. In order to receive a ballot you need to set up an account on csteachers.org if you do not already have one and join the Chicago chapter. You can join as a Basic or CSTA+ member to become an eligible voter.
Elections results will be posted on Monday, Jun 7, 2021.
